Cityscapes and Seascapes, from NYC to Capri: Photographs by Tara Cuccia on display at Starbucks downtown @ 6th & Congress

This series of photographs documents two opposing lifestyles I have experienced at separate times in my life and at very extreme points on the map. What city do you think of when you visualize a metropolis pulsating in the shadows of dizzying buildings among graffiti and artists, hot dog vendors, businessmen, restaurants, glittering sidewalks, and ghettos? Think Robert De Niro in the seventies (“Taxi Driver”). Then think of the region that has been referred to as Jackie O’s playground in the sixties … zipping through winding mountainous roads in crazy little cars above the Mediterranean Sea -- from Capri and Amalfi to Positano and Ravello. *Ahem* New York City and the Italian Riviera, anyone?
