Slideluck Potshow is a non-profit arts organization that provides an opportunity for artists and arts-appreciators to gather around food, friends, and artwork for an unforgettable night. Please help us kick-off FotoWeek with an engaging, unique, and fun evening!

Submit your artwork for Slideluck Potshow DC III. This slideshow will feature emerging and established DC-area photographers and artists along with a selection of international work. Photojournalists, painters, fashion and fine-art photographers all present work alongside one another in a relaxed and spirited atmosphere. Past contributors to Slideluck Potshows include:  The Guggenheim Foundation, Elliott Erwitt, Chris Jordan, Todd Hido, Elinor Carucci, Martin Schoeller, Alec Soth, Chris Buck, Spencer Tunick, Alex Majoli, Martin Parr, Alessandra Sanguinetti, Bruce Gilden, Nina Berman, Vincent Laforet and many others.

We are currently seeking cohesive, creative, and thought-provoking submissions.  Submissions will be collected online in advance of the slideshow. Cutting-edge multimedia presentations are welcomed and all shows must be accompanied by music, commentary, or other audio surprises. Presentations are limited to five minutes or less.  Please visit the Slideluck Potshow website for submission guidelines.  The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, November 11th.

The week of November 15-22, 2008 will mark the launch of FotoWeek DC, the first annual gathering of a diverse and wide-ranging photography community in the nation’s capital, including photographers, museums, universities and all those involved in the profession across the metro DC area, including Virginia and Maryland. Much like Slideluck Potshow, FotoWeek DC seeks to bring together all photographers and imaging professionals from every discipline to join with the public in celebration of the medium.

So get those submissions in by November 11th, then whip up your famous seven-layer dip, lobster ravioli, papaya salad, honey-glazed ham, or raspberry cheesecake and come check out a slammin’ slideshow!

Is the date of the event Friday, November 14th, or Saturday, November 15th? Also, which is the correct deadline for submissions . . . November 5th or 9th? Thanks!
