It's time to exit the cave, folks - shake that winter hibernation out of your pelts and come together again for the 13th Bend Slideluck Potshow! (no superstition allowed)

The theme: ESCAPE

(non-themed contributions equally welcome though)

Haven't been to that South Polynesian island lately? You know - the one with the white sand beach, turquoise water, and lonely palm tree? Don't panic. I'm sure *someone* will bring a picture of that.

Instead, consider this: "escape: 1. To break loose from confinement; get free. 2. A means of obtaining temporary freedom from worry, care, or unpleasantness. 3. A gradual effusion from an enclosure; a leakage."

Or - think of your own interpretation.

Maybe bring a dish that inspires "escapism" - but hopefully won't send your fellow comrades running (if you think a Durian might be a nice exotic treat to bring, I urge you to reconsider). A pina colada on the other hand will most likely be a more welcome contribution ...

In any case - scour your image collections, break out the cook books, and join us on May 30 for yet another fun-filled evening that will hopefully appeal to all senses.

And For the Newbies: Slideluck Potshow is intended as an informal celebration of food and photography. Guests are asked to bring a dish for the potluck and a five minute or so digital photography slideshow, though neither is strictly required. After we all fill up on food and drink, contributors will take turns showing their work via a laptop, digital projector and screen provided by Tom and Brent. Friendly give and take between audience and presenters is encouraged, as is musical accompaniment and the like. And while there is a theme, non-themed work is just fine. Images should be formatted to the following specs: 1024 x 768 pixels, 72dpi, sRGB, Jpeg. Whether you want to just pop them into a folder or turn them into a fancy powerpoint presentions - your choice.
